FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When and where do practices take place?
Practices take place at the Arthur F. Engel Memorial Park in Hudson, FL. The address is 11611 Denton Ave. Hudson, Fl 34667. Practices during the summer will be Monday through Thursday, from 6:00PM to 8:30PM. Practices during the school year will take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.
What if it's raining on practice or game days?
We practice and play in the rain! If it's raining, assume that we will have practice and games, unless your coach and/or team parent contacts you via text message or phone call to notify you practice/game is cancelled.
How many children are on a team and/or squad?
- Football teams have a maximum of 35 players each.
- Cheer squads have a maximum 30 cheerleaders each.
- Mascots will have a maximum of 12 children.
What equipment and/or gear will my child recieve?
- Football players will receive their game jerseys, game pants, helmet and shoulder pads, and mouth piece. Cleats and any other items beyond this list will be the parents' responsibility. Helmets and shoulder pads MUST be returned at the end of the season.
- Cheerleaders/Mascots will receive their practice attire (2 t-shirts), game attire (home and away tank, hair ribbon) and comp attire (uniform and hair bow). Anything beyond this list will be the parents' responsibility.
How long is the Cobra season?
The season begins July 1st, 2024 and will end November 22nd, 2025. The season consist of 1 week of conditioning, 8 weeks of regular season games (4 home and 4 away), 2 rounds of playoffs, 3 cheer comps, Cheer-Offs and the Super Bowl. (If your team is fortunate enough to make it all the way through)
